Canadian energy supports nearly 765,000 jobs across the country—in the trades, construction, engineering, and long-term operations—paying on average more than double the national wage. It’s also growing the workforce of tomorrow, giving Canadians transferable skills and hands-on experience that can open doors to long-term careers. The activity it drives helps fund the services Canadians rely on.
A lower-emission choice
Coal is still the world's largest source of energy-related emissions and responsibly produced Canadian LNG is one of the cleanest options to help our partners move away from it. Supporting domestic production means lowering emissions at home and abroad.
A more self-reliant Canada
This is Canada’s moment to take control of its own energy future—reducing dependence on a single, unpredictable customer, standing up for Canadian workers, and building a more resilient economy that delivers for Canadians.
